Birdhouse Sculpture Installation

This project focused on using wood to create a sculpture that would be installed in a site of our choice. I chose a tree that was adjacent to our studio that was close enough to a walkway that people could observe the sculpture. The sculpture was a birdhouse but it was shaped like a sea shell with alternating open and closed sections to give the illusion of a wooden spiral. Crackers were placed on the inside to entice the birds and or squirrels to use it. It was attached to a branch using rope and a wooden clasp in order to not harm the tree.
